Made in San Angelo Texas, circa early 1900s. Solid wood with oak veneer. Has 5 drawers and cubby shelf space. We repaired so much on this one. The top drawer was broken on dovetail, we cut and added a new piece for that. The back legs were detaching from the front, we repaired that. The inner cubby cabinet was cracked and broken, we glued and repaired that. Some dovetailed drawers were coming apart we glued them back in. The top was pulling apart from the rest of the chest, we removed that in section and repaired that.
Then I cleaned the whole piece up with some stain, sealed in multiple coats of flat poly. Aged the hardware with some gold. To top off the antique look, I added some cream and blue floral wallpaper to the inner cubby cabinet area. Conditioned inner and outer drawers with scented furniture oil.
