Vintage Italian Provincial Dresser in Queenstown Gray....
I was eventually going to work on this
vintage Italian provincial with mid century modern
straight lines. It was in the back of my inventory though.
So I couldn't get to it till I got to the one in the front.
I was going to do it a dark gray or navy.
One of my followers contacted me asking if I had
a particular piece in a certain look. I sent her a picture of this one.
She put down her deposit and I pulled it out.
Here is the before below.
It had some major wear on top.
We stripped it down.
Sealed in the major scratches and dents.
I primed it.
I gave her some colors to choose from and she chose
General Finishes Queenstown Gray.
Sealed in a semi gloss sealer.
We cleaned up the hardware to reveal a
beautiful brass gold.
It came out very beautiful!
Before/After below.
Outdated Vintage Buffet Made Modern...
I had found this vintage buffet a while back.
Was waiting to work on it once I finished all
my customer orders. Now, that I started limiting customers orders
I can start doing my project pieces.
I love doing my own pieces so much!
This buffet I didn’t like the plastic fronts.
Didn’t like the hardware.
Didn’t like the bottom skirt.
I first removed the skirt trim. Still didn’t like it.
So I removed the plastic front decor.
Then cut the wood fronts and sides on bottom.
After cutting it, I wanted some added layer
to the bottom. So we added more wood
trim just to the bottom underneath it.
We added some wood legs to each side.
Filled in all the holes from the plastic decor.
Also filled in the older handle holes.
I purchased new antique bronze modern hardware.
Removed the back because it had a hole in it.
Added a new back.
All prepped and I was loving it!
It was coming out just like I had envisioned.
Primed it gray, then painted it in
Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray.
Added the new modern hardware.
I painted everything, all the inside cabinets areas.
Love it! So happy with the look!!

Mid Century Modern Dresser Restoration ....
Before below. This mid century dresser came with
no legs. They where removed. Then someone added
a wood frame under it to sit on.
We removed that.
We repaired the veneer issues.
The top was really bad.
I had some legs in my inventory. They didn't fit good.
So we had to remove the screw and put a new one.
That made the legs tight and sturdy.
These legs are high too. Which was a plus.
Stripped, repaired everything.
Removed the plastic recessed pulls.
Stained in dark walnut.
Sealed everything in semi gloss sprayed sealer.
That grain is beautiful!
The patterns are gorgeous!!!

Directoire Dorian Gray Dresser....
Had this beautiful directore dresser up for
sale as is for a while.
I sanded it down and primed it.
You can view that in my Instagram stores.
I painted this in Benjamin Moore Dorian Gray.
We had to seal in all the older hardware holes.
I wanted the hardware to look all even. It was
more work, but we'll do that so it can look
how i want it too.
It was tough work because the drawers
had trim around the top and bottom.
It made it more difficult, but we did it.
Smooth clean finish. Top and bottom drawers
have the pull underneath the top slat.
Purchased new aged brass modern pulls.
This piece came out so beautiful!

some time in my for sale as is inventory.
Before below.

antique brushed brass.
Took out the handles on the top drawers
and added single pulls.
Removed the key hole pulls on the bottom

Italian Provincial Dresser Updated...
Had this in my inventory for sale as is
for about 7 months. It didn't sell so I pulled
it and did my own design on it.
I love doing my own designs. Less stressful than
customer orders. I can take my time and there is no rush.
Here is the before above.

I picked behr black bamboo for the color.
It's a beautiful soft medium green with less yellow in it.

French Bombay Natural Wood Finish.......
I really lucked out when we found this amazing
french Bombay dresser. The quality of craftsmanship is so
high quality.
This is how I got it above. Hardware was hand made
and missing a bail off one pull.
I had it up as is for months.
So I decided to search for huge 8" french pulls.
Hard to find, but I actually had 4 in my inventory.
I just needed 2. I found a lot for 8 online!
Then I put them on and listed as is because the
original finish was pretty good still.
I keep my pieces up as is if their in good condition first.
Months to a year and if they don't move I do my own design on them.
Then list them.
I decided to do a raw wood finish on this one.
I had done this finish before a few years ago.
It can only be done on certain pieces.
This particular one is all one solid piece of the exact same wood.
No patch work wood or veneer on this beauty.
We stripped it all down, ever corner of it.
I sealed it in general finishes high performance
semi gloss. All in a sprayed beautiful even coverage.
I painted the hardware I got online in a matte
black.
It's made by Perl. I have looked everywhere online
for this maker and can't find them.
If anyone can please message me.
I want more of these pieces by this maker!
The back is all wood and built in not nailed or stapled!
The curves are beautiful!
Has 7 drawers total. Very deep and spacious.

Black Cabinet....
I found this claw foot antique cabinet
years ago. Never had time to get to it.
But, now that I’ve took this year off
of customer orders.. I’m finally
getting to my pieces that I have been
wanting to get too.
It was missing one board on the side.
Both shelves where gone inside also.
I added new knobs to the top small drawer.
I made some slat shelves and I wanted them
to be very knotty. So I tried to pick the worst
ones at the hardware store.
Stained the slats in a dark stain. The sealed those in
general finishes flat high performance.
Painted the outside of the cabinets in
a black with distressed edges.
Added some antiquing to it with dark wax.
Also added new handles to the cabinet doors.
Then added chicken wire and painted that black too.
Oh and added some magnetic closures.
This would be perfect for a coffee bar.
Or just for books in the living room.

Before and After! Looks amazing!
I didn't want a bright color because of
all the curves. I wanted to tone it down some
on the look. I knew black with slight distress would do it.
Had to stain that top dark to make the look!
