French Provincial Chest & Bed Set.....
Another new client who seen our work and loved it!
She picked out this french chest of drawers
and french bed set form our inventory.
Then wanted us to custom paint it in a
latte color to coordinate with her guest room
color on the walls.
Here is the before below...
we had started to repair it with all the
dents and gouges so I didn't have it listed.
Here is the bed I also didn't have listed as I didn't have the time.
Sanded most of the drawers down and added
new holes for the replacement handles.
One handle was broken so I had to pull another
french set from my handle inventory.
Stripped the whole bed set...
Sanded and stripped most of the chest.
Repaired the chipped feet also.
Smooth top sanded...
Repaired all the deep scratches...
Then I primed it all white and painted it in the
latte color.
Smooth flat finish with no distress.
Hardware painted in oil rubbed bronze.
Sealed in the old holes for the old hardware
and you wouldn't even know it's so smooth.
Loved the new hardware we added.
Feet all repaired, we don't let a french
provincial leave us with a chipped off foot/feet.
Looks so beautiful!
Aged Light Gray Chest.....
Had this in my inventory for since the summer
and decided to pull it and paint in my own design.
It's a high end chest of drawers made by white fine
company with a solid wood back nailed in.
Very solid structure and quality.
I removed all the hardware and replaced it
with new hardware.
I chose to do a light gray for the look I wanted ,
I custom mixed the color also.
I used chalk paint and sprayed it on
no hand painting.
The hardware I wanted was something
to bring out the piece, but not too
flashy or too plain.
I wanted to keep some of the clean lines which is why
I chose these handles.
I aged it but didn't distress it.
Super flat and smooth finish.
I also painted the bottom metal sleeves
and the cabinet door hinges to match the
color of the hardware.
Painted all of the inside cabinet area.
I aged the inside also.
The middle slats are removable.
They just slide out.
The inside dividers on the 1st drawer are removable also.
Really happy with how it turned out!
Redesigned Dresser into a Aged Navy Look...
Well, since we had this mediterranean dresser for
a while I decided to paint it. Although, while I was in the
middle of added the feet a new client had contacted
me. She wanted the aged navy chest of drawers I had
did and was up for sale. Then she wanted to know if I had
anything else in that color or similar color. I didn't.
I told her I was in the middle of painting this one,
I was currently adding some feet to it but,
hadn't painted it yet.
Here is the before below....
So, she asked if I could paint it in the navy look
like the chest she wanted. I said yes of course!
She wanted the current hardware removed and
replaced with the ones I added on the chest I had did
that she was getting from me.
I sprayed it all in a custom navy I made with chalk paint.
Aged it with no distress.
Stripped the top before we painted it.
Repaired all the scratches and holes because that's
what she wanted on this one.
Painted the inside.
Sealed in all the holes from the previous hardware.
I added all the same hardware even to the middle
cabinet doors. It just looked so much better
than knobs I was initially going to add.
Then, added the new hardware.
I love my finish! It's a lot of work, but I don't mind.
She loved it! I really love it!!!
Navy Aged Chest Of Drawers......
We had this chest of drawers for about 3 years in our inventory.
I was waiting to paint it when I had some extra time.
This was the before below.
It had these older handles on it.
I painted it in Annie Sloan chalk paint.
I customized this color to a navy blue.
Aged it with no distress.
Added new hardware to go with the lines
of the chest,
Smooth no brush strokes finish.
I spray the paint on with my hvlp gun
I don't hand paint it. It's more expensive
in materials, but I love the look.
Oh my goodness, I'm totally in love.....
French Provincial China Cabinet......
This french provincial china cabinet was in our current
inventory available as is or if a client wanted it custom
painted in a style they chose.
A new client was referred to us from someone else and scheduled
an appt with us to come view this cabinet. She also wanted
to see our work up close, as she seen it numerous times online and loved it.
She had been following us quite a while and was very glad she
finally came to us! She had such kind words for us on my
look and design I had. Plus, she loved the finish we did on
furniture also. She said as she was feeling one of my finished pieces
"It's so smooth and flat! Even the chalk painted one is so smooth.
The latex finished one is the same, so smooth. I love your work!"
As a custom furniture painter I'm sure you know,
I LOVE to hear that!!
Well, let's get to this beautiful piece shall we?
Here is the before below.
She was the 3rd new client who loved the deep gray dresser
I had painted in my own design and put up for sale back
in Nov. 2016. Needless to say, she wanted that color,
look, and design on this china cabinet. She LOVED
that look and color.
This was painted in Annie Sloan chalk paint.
I had custom mixed the color.
Aged it all with no distress.
Painted the hardware silver and aged that also.
We paint all the hardware you can see.
Painted the inside and aged that as well.
She wanted the metal decor taken off the
left and right windows. Took off all the glass
even the one on the door.
She didn't need the inside painted.
Smooth flat finish.
She absolutely loved it!!
I love how it came out, so beautiful!!
Stormy Blue Duncan Phyfe Dresser.......
I had this beautiful duncan phyfe dresser for about
3 months in my inventory not listed as available.
I have quite a few like that in my inventory that are
not listed. Some need repair and some need stripping.
This particular one needed some repair.
After John repaired it I just went ahead and painted it
in my own color design.
I went for a stormy blue color with some gray tints
in it. I custom made this color from annie sloan
chalk paint.
Aged it but didn't distress it. I didn't think the look
I was going for would look good distressed.
My smooth flat finish.
I also painted and aged the hardware.
Loving this piece.
Redesigned Updated Dresser.....
A new client found us online in a group on facebook.
She loved our work and my design for pieces I custom
paint and put up for sale.
She fell in love with this dresser below I had painted and
put up for sale last month. It sold to another new client.
She had this dresser already that was her daughter's.
She wanted us to seal in the hole and make new ones
for the new hardware she bought. So we sealed in the
holes and added new ones.
Here is the picture I sent her after we finished
that part. I wanted to show her how it looked.
She loved it.
Then we stripped the top to get all the damage from
years of use. Nice and smooth.
She wanted me to paint it like the other dresser I had done above.
She loved the design so much.
So here it is all updated!
I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in a custom color
I made.
She loved it!

White MCM Dresser.......
Found this beautiful mid century dresser. It had cabinet
knobs on it when we found it. I took them off and
sanded it down.
Primed it and painted it all white with Benjamin Moore
paint. I went with a smooth
flat clean look in all crisp white.
Added these beautiful handles with a rope pull.
Very deep drawers.
I also added these knobs to go with the square straightness
of the dresser,
Our smooth sprayed finish.
Look at all those deep spacious drawers!
I love how this came out.
White Curio Stand and Farmhouse Chest....
One of our regular repeat clients wanted us to paint
this curio cabinet and farmhouse chest all white with
no distress. She wanted all the texture to stay the
same if possible. It was painted in provence chalk paint at one time.
Then with a crackle look.
We sanded it down and teal was everywhere...
the texture came off in most areas.
I primed them all white. Then painted them all white.
We added some rustic hinges to the chest, it made the door
more sturdy.
Took all hardware off and stripped that and painted them all.
Took the glass and rubber out also to paint in every crack,
She wanted to see no more blue.
Couldn't get the blue off of some of the rubber though, we tried.
Looks beautiful and she loved them.
White/Gray French Provincial Dresser....
A new client found us online by seeing a dresser I had painted
in my own design up for sale. She lived in Taylor, Tx and was
fixing up a old house in the country. She wanted the painted dresser
I had done, plus this one above. She is using both
dressers we painted in her restrooms as vanities.
Here is the french dresser before. Cosmetic damage here and there.
We stripped it down and sanded it smooth, put it up for sale like
shown. Needless to say it was ready for me to paint. I primed it all.
She wanted a gray top and white body, she also wanted
my opinions on colors and hardware colors.
Basically, she was trying to coordinate it with her
tile she bought for the restroom. It had gray, light gray and white.
I suggested nightengale or kendall gray from Benjamin Moore
and out of the can white or simply white from Benjamin Moore.
Then, on the hardware I suggested iron steel color.
She chose kendall gray for top and simply white for bottom.
Then the iron steel hardware color. She also wanted
slight distress on edges.
She absolutely loved it! I did too, very beautiful.
Here's the other dresser she purchased from us.
This one below was painted in my own design.
Restoration Hardware French Provincial Tallboy.....
We found this french provincial chest and it needed
some cosmetic repair work as you can see below.
So we repaired all the missing veneer and sanded most of it down.
I primed it all.
Then, I decided to paint it in graphite by
Restoration Hardware. It is a muted
gray in a matte finish.
Painted the hardware in a iron steel color.
Our smooth professional finish.
No distressing a clean look.
This looks fantastic!
Coco Trundle Bed Set.....
A new client found our coco custom painted antique
chest of drawers up for sale. She had a full size trundle bed set
that was navy blue and wanted us to custom
paint it to match the chest she was purchasing from us.
It was for her daughter's room.
Here is the picture below of the trundle before we touched it.
It has plain hardware so I found some french handles
and painted them to match the knobs on the chest.
We had to strip down the wood areas and sand
down the pressed board middles. So when I distressed
it you would see the wood not the blue paint.
I painted it all coco from annie sloan.
Here is the knobs I added and custom painted to match the knobs.
Distressed and aged it all.
Painted the sides of the inner trundle.
Looks so beautiful!!!!

She wanted the hardware kept original.

Restoration Hardware French Twin Bed.....
One of our wonderful repeat clients from 2014 came
back to us and picked this french provincial twin bed
out of our inventory. She wanted it to match her previous pieces
she purchased from us and had us custom paint them in
restoration hardware colors and designs.
They where all done at different times. She is very patient
and waits for the perfect pieces we get in that she likes.
Here is the before of the twin bed.
We stripped it down and she wanted us to remove all the spindles
to make it more modern and unisex for her little boy.
Next we primed it.
Then I painted it the color she wanted which was
a restoration hardware paint.
Did the detail in a restoration hardware paint also.
I didn't have to be perfect on the detail either!
The design is meant to look imperfect.
Distressed certain areas to show some wood and some primer.
Looks fantastic without the spindles!
Here are all the pieces below we have furnished and custom painted
for her. All in the same style and all french.
We custom made the french chest it was actually a
highboy. We then made her the baby changing table and
made it removeable with hinges. You can
search my blog for that post under "Restoration Hardware".

I painted it in a mixture of colors with annie
sloan chalk paint to get a black.
Distressed edges only.
