Italian Provincial In Simply White...
New client picked this beautiful italian provincial
dresser from our inventory. She placed her order back in august.
We're always booked so my turnaround time is mostly always
2-4 months. Most of our clients that wait that long
have been looking for that professional smooth finish.
Which is why I guess they wait for us. Others are referrals from
our other clients that have seen our pieces
up close and see our work. We really appreciate all of them too.
She wanted this in a eggshell white to match the crib
and decor in her nursery.
Here is the before below.
After we sealed in all the scratches and dents because she
asked for that when she came to see it before placing her order.
We sanded, primed, and painted it.
Done in simply white by Benjamin Moore.
Shes going to add hardware later when she
finds the perfect set.
We had a hard time trying to get that perfect sheen
to match her nursery decor & crib.
BUT! I tried something new and made it work.
Sealed in a eggshell finish.
She really liked it! Said it matched perfectly. 😅
Updated Vintage Dresser to Modern Style...
New client inherited her late grandmothers dresser
and wanted it updated for her new little bundle of joy.
She will be due very soon and put this order in 3 months ago.
I was booked like we usually are and she waited patiently.
Here is the before below.
She purchased new hardware and wanted the middle
cabinet door off.
She wanted the top stained to match her crib frame
and the body painted a clean no distress white.
We used Benjamin Moore Ultra White.
Amazing what a professional paint job
and some redesigning can do.
She also wanted the old hinge holes sealed in which we did.
Stained top and sealed in a semi gloss water
based sealer.
Everything done in a no brush stroke finish
as always.
Our finish is smooth to the touch and applied
properly.
Here is the handles she picked. We only had one at the time.
Looks amazing!
Here it is in her nursery after we delivered it.
She was "over the moon obsessed with it".
Her words 😍
Aged Red Kitchen Table....
New client found me on my blog. Contacted me
from my blog as most do, she wanted a quote on this
antique table she found.
The table needed some gluing and stripping
on the top because the current finish was
bubbling up.
Before below.
She decided on brick red from General Finishes Milk Paint.
Basically she wanted it in a aged red finish.
Below is it painted in just brick red no sealing yet.
Then started distressing.
Then glazed with van dyke brown and sealed
in a satin water based sealer.
All done in a no brush stroke finish.
Here it is below in her kitchen.
She loved it! Looks really beautiful!
Silver Antique Dining Table...
Past client that purchased a painted white dresser from
us which we delivered to Austin for them.
She seen my blog loved my work,
asked if we could repair & repaint their large
antique dining table.
Here is the before below.
The table was so large that it sagged
in the middle. The leaves it had where only meant to
be in for a short time then taken out.
Although, she wanted them in forever.
John repaired that part.
Before below.
It had 7 layers of different paint under it.
When it was 1st painted it wasn't stripped.
So, the original paint, plus the what they painted over it with
black paint the silver paint then glazes...
you get the picture.
We stripped it which took about 2 to 3 days.
It was messy.
Primed it.
She previously wanted silver with champagne
detail. I used modern masters metallic paint
in silver & champagne.
I did one leg and showed her the picture.
She didn't like it, I thought it looked good.
It wasn't what she pictured so she went with all silver.
Here it is all silver.
The repair John did to stabilize the middle part of the
table. Very sturdy now.
Sealed in a water based semi gloss sealer
for protection.
Looks so amazing!! Matches really well with her decor.
French Gray Dresser...New Look From Before...
We found and purchased this dresser in really bad condition.
Here is the before below. Hardware was missing.
A new follower contacted me and wanted to know
what I would be putting out next.
I showed her this one. Let's just say it was sold before I could list.
We stripped it down.
Repaired a lot of loose veneer.
Sealed in the old hardware holes. I had this same style dresser before
in my inventory years ago and we had custom painted it for a client.
So I knew what hardware to search for had no luck.
Sealed in most of the splits in the wood and reinforced them.
Refinished the top in General Finishes wood stain Espresso
Sealed it with high performance top coat.
Painted the body in Chelsea Gray by Benjamin Moore.
Distressed edges,
Added the new hardware.
Hobby lobby is my go to for hardware when
I can't find the original anywhere else.
Smooth no brush stroke flat thin finish.
She loved it!
White Updated Rustic Dresser......
I was working on this piece last month that I
got for free from a client. I didn't like the previous hardware, so
I replaced it with new handles.
While I was working on it along with a custom client order
that was being painted the same color (multitasking!)
I received a message from a new follower.
She wanted a previous dresser I had just sold a few hours
before. She asked if I would be painting anything
in that same style & color...I said yes and showed
her this one I was working on.
Here is the before below.
Sanded it down. Then primed it.
I showed her this picture of the handles I was putting on them.
I also showed her the before with the original handles.
She loved the look I was going for all she wanted was the hardware
painted silver.
Here it is painted in white using Benjamin Moore paint.
No distress I thought it looked better without it.
I liked the clean look on this particular dresser.
Here it is in her home, she loved it!
French White Nightstands.....
Client had contacted me earlier this year and
wanted me to search for her some french nightstands
with a shelf exposed and one drawer. She also wanted me to
paint them for her in all white with a distressed edges look.
I did find her some as i didn't have any in my current
inventory. Here is the before below.
Sanded them down.
Repaired loose veneer.
Primed them and then painted them in all
white with Benjamin Moore paint.
Hardware kept original.
She loved them!
