Plank Top Buffet in Old Ochre...
One of my wonderful customers contacted me a few months ago.
Her mother wanted to sell me some of her mothers furniture.
So my customers grandparents furniture.
We worked out a deal and loaded it all up.
This had a hutch that went on top.
Thinking of doing the hutch into a cabinet with some feet.
Anyway, here was the buffet part. I actually had it up for
sale as is, just to give it a chance before I tackled it.
It was 28" high below. So kinda short.
I added some feet to the front and back.
Then added some wood planks to the top.
Stained those in a custom stain mix.
Sealed in a flat poly.
I painted the body in
Annie Sloan Old Ochre.
Distressed edges.
Added new updated knobs.
But kept the original top handles.
Left the inside original.
Shelves are adjustable.
Love how everything came out!!
Ahhhh!! I love it!!

Updated Stanley Dresser Set....
New client contacted us a while back from my blog and
said she was referred to us by one of
our previous clients. She said she loved the table
we did for her friend.
She wanted a dresser/nightstand set custom painted to her liking.
I didn't have anything she liked in my unpainted
available inventory. So, she waited patiently till I got something in
she liked.
I got this one in and she loved it.
Before below.
It was originally the factory creamy color and
the previous owners had put a poly stain over it all.
A reddish stain at that.
We had to strip it, took forever.
She wanted the stained top with white distressed
body, then painted dark bronze hardware.
Paint was done in Benjamin Moore white.
She loves it, I love this look to 😊💖
Updated Old Dresser...
Found this old dresser at a school yard sale.
Remember with the right design you can make
any ugly dresser beautiful. You just have
to have the right color, hardware, and finish.
Here is the before below.
I decided on white and distressed edges.
Added new hardware. Had to seal in those
older hardware holes.
Distressed some not too much.
All done in a smooth no brush stroke chalk painted
finish. Then wax sealed.
These handles make pulling out these
drawers so easy, like butter.
I love it! Just so happy with how it came out!!
Looks totally different.
