Custom Painted Clients Kitchen Set.....
A client that found me online asked me to
redo her table and buffet set.
She was moving in a new house and wanted
a different look.
She decided on black with the wood showing
to make it look aged.
This is after we sanded it down to prepare the painting process...
we took everything apart.
Cabinets, screws, hinges, glass, mirrors, metal parts on legs, etc....
These where the chairs before....
This is the table set after we painting and distressed....
she has the glass top that goes on the
table base...
these are the close ups of the table and chairs...
we actually took the whole table base
apart to paint it....
she will be adding the glass piece
to the table base....
here is the buffet I primed all the weaved parts....
painted the inside also...
distressed....
the sun makes the color look off...
the hutch....
she wanted me to remove the mirrors
that where in the back....
then paint the back wood panels silver
with black glaze....
Here it is completed all she needs is the new fabric on the chair pads :)
Looks so much better and updated!
Love it!!!
Heather Grey Dresser Missing Drawer Made Into Dresser with Shelves
This dresser we had for quite some time now and didn't list it because it was missing a drawer. We needed some room, so we decided to work on it. It is a very nice piece of solid wood. So we got started on it over the weekend....we took out the top drawer and used it for missing parts on the other drawers.
Completely took off the handles I just couldn't see them on this dresser they where hideous! Then John repaired the cracks, took out the boards that where not needed, cut some wood for the shelves, sealed up the holes where the handles where, sanded it down....
Then I primed it with multiple times with primer....stained the top with different colors of stains...
customized a color and made a heather grey...
I wanted to show more wood than just on top so I stained the shelves also...
Painted the end of the shelf lip heather grey also so it wouldn't look seperated..
We where looking for some handles to go with it and couldn't find any, then we seen these towel racks,
that was it once we seen those the hunt was over!!!
They look awesome!
Here it is all finished!!!
I love how the wood parts accent the handles...
It's so beautiful :) Wowzers, I love it!
Wood Finish Dresser with Black & Copper
Our previous buyers had bought this furnished and custom painted dresser we did,
then they seen these nightstands we had and wanted us to paint them to match the dresser.
They had this dresser they found and wanted us to paint it to match the above dresser we did...
this one they found was damaged on bottom so we rebuilt it to make it sturdy and last....stripped the drawers, and sanded down the shell, primed the shell with 2 coats of primer, and painted the shell with 4 coats of black paint. Then painted the handles copper!
This is the finished piece....
Matching set is so gorgeous!!!
Thanks Veronica and Justine!!!
Old Renaissance Star Buffet that was Saved!
We found this piece, it was not taken care of as you can see. It had a hutch but it was damaged beyond repair which was a shame. So we kept the door off it that is what you see on top of the before picture. We looked it up and it seems to be from the early 1900's it is a Renaissance Star Buffet. It is solid wood very heavy, large dovetailed for the drawers.
This is after....I painted it silver on the doors, drawer fronts, and the side panels. Then painted the knobs copper. These are the original knobs. Then stained and waxed the outer shell.
Sanded it down, the doors on the bottom where nailed in and wrapped around to use as a hinge. That is how it was made no hinges. That was taken out as some doors where already fallen off. So we added hinges.
The sides are not doors they are glued and screwed in.
The bottom doors in front do open.
I love it! It came out just as I pictured it would:)
Two Solid Wood 1960's Pantry Cabinet Shelves
These where just all wood colored when I found them. I always see painted ones that are all painted. I couldn't do that to these. I wanted to show some of the wood as it was just to pretty to cover up.
So I painted this one teal green in some areas. Then painted the grooved areas and handles grey. Added some small fencing wire to the back top cabinets and painted those grey also.
This one has 3 drawers as shown....
This one I painted white in some areas. Then painted the grooved areas and handles black.
Now, they look fabulous! Just alittle touch of color was all they needed....
Bassett Cabinet Dresser
This was before I tried to sell it but nobody wanted it looking like this.......
And After.....
Painted it a majestic blue color I thought it needed a color that would bring out the beauty in it.
Also painted the shelf inside...
Stained the outer trim and black waxed it....
Found some handles and polished them up. put some gold trim around the doors ad left the oriental decor it was just so pretty to paint over.....I think it came out just fantastic!
Midnight Blue Hot Pink Dresser
This was before it has a missing back and missing drawers on bottom of two, I was trying to sell it as is because I had to many other projects to do, but no one wanted to take on the job....so I did :)
And here is after sanding and repairing I put a thick piece of wood on back, painted it midnight blue then drawers hot pink ...
stained the top and protected it with light brown wax.....
and painted the handles grey...
I just think it came out really cute!
Dresser Converted Into Kids Armoire Dress up Closet
Okay, so one of my previous buyers asked if i could do this project for her something she seen on Pinterest. It was a old dresser or tv cabinet converted into a Armoire for kids. So I had some dressers with no drawers and some with missing ones. She picked this one.
So I sanded it, added some boards to stabilize it and added a shelf. Covered up some holes to make it for knobs as it had handles.
She wanted it painted white, with lavender knobs (the knobs are pretty flowers). She is going to fabric the inside and add a rod in the middle.
I just LOVE IT! Really good idea Laurie. Thank you!
Green Rustic Church Pew Bench
Found this old church pew in pieces.....so we sanded it down, did some gluing and screwing....was missing the bottom piece for the compartment so we had to make one to fit.....
And here is is! I painted it green and stained the back and bottom pieces. Then I stenciled 2 patterns in the middle green and added 2 door handles on the side to hand things on.
It flips up on the seat stained in there also.
It came out so gorgeous! This pew took alot I mean alot of work especially putting it together. But, it was worth it.
Rustic Black Desk Table
Before .....
Had a particle board top that was warped. So we took that off and sanded down the wooden bottom.
Had some loose cedar boards, sanded them down and used them for the top.
After....
Painted the bottom black, polished up the handle which is gold color.
Stained the top and added polyurethane to seal it. I just love it! I think it could be used as a desk or a kitchen table.
Rustic Table and Chairs
I have been working on this one off and on. I mixed all kinds of teals and blues to get this color for the table bottom. Then I lightly sanded the top and waxed it. Then i collected these chairs till I have a complete set and painted them a cream color and lightly distressed them a bit. Now I put them outside on my patio! Looks super cute:)
