Spindle Bedroom Set Clean White.....
Another new client contacted me thru my fb page.
She wanted us to paint her furniture that was given
to her by her aunt. She said she wanted
it for her little girls room instead of buying new furniture.
The color she wanted was all white no distress.
It was a dresser, vanity top with mirror, nightstand,
and a bed. Lots of spindles mixed in the whole set except the dresser.
Here is the before of the dresser, vanity, mirror,
and nightstand.
We stripped them down and sanded the rest down.
Then I primed them all.
She also wanted the knobs painted white but
not the brass parts.
Painted them all white with Benjamin Moore paint.
Our drop dead smooth finish.
My pictures speak for themselves.
Painted the knobs after we stripped those.
Painted with Benjamin Moore paint also.
Lots of hard work to get our finish to look like
it does.
We removed the mirror to paint back and front of
the mirror frame. It's more work but looks professionally done.
Here is the dresser with the vanity & mirror.
Without the vanity & mirror.
I love it!
Next, was the spindle full/queen size bed.
Before pictured below.
Stripped & sanded.
Then I primed it all.
Painted all white with Benjamin Moore paint
no distress.
Love it! Much better in all white :)
White Mid Century Modern End Tables....
I had these mid century end tables for sometime
in my inventory. They didn't sell as is or for a custom
paint order, so I decided to paint them in my own design.
Here is the before below.
I decided on all white clean look.
Cleaned the brass tip feet.
They have glass tops which are removeable.
Oh, I'm in love.....
Mcm Chest Of drawers Two Tone....
Repeat client wanted her mid century chest of drawers painted
in a two tone color, She is the same client with the last mcm pieces in a two tone
finish in the previous posts.
Here is the before below ...
She wanted us to seal in the previous hardware holes
and make new ones centered, two singles on each drawer.
Plus seal in all the knicks and scratches.
We painted the body a dark gray and the drawers
a true white.
Looks awesome!
Mid Century Modern Dresser.......
Our new client who we did the mid century dresser
in the previous post had this dresser from her childhood.
She wanted the same two tone color as the previous dresser
we did for her. White body with refinished drawers.
Before pictured below.
We had to repair one of the legs as pictured you can see
it's broken apart. So we had to take the legs and braces off
of all four legs to reinforce them all.
We sanded it all down.
Sealed in all the cracks, missing veneer, and scratches.
She wanted a smooth look.
Sanded the drawers and removed the wood decor pieces.
Then I primed and painted the body white
and
stained the drawers then sealed them with poly.
She loved it!
Mid Century Modern Two Tone Dresser...
New client found us on Craigslist in last month and also
found this dresser on Craigslist. She bought the dresser
and dropped it off with us to paint it.
She's also leaving us 2 more mcm dressers that were hers
and wants us to custom paint those too.
Those will be in a later post (working on them now).
Below is the before of the mcm dresser she found.
She wanted all the dents and scratches filled in
for a smooth clean look.
She also wanted a new wood back as the current one was
beat up and cardboard.
So we stripped it...removed the back cardboard.
Filled in all the dents and scratches.
Then I primed the body and painted it white which
is what she wanted. She wanted a two tone look.
White body with stained drawers.
She wanted the stain in a certain color...
not too red and not too black.
More brown.
We stripped the drawers down and I forgot to
take a picture of them stripped. I was short on time.
I will with the next mcm dresser she wants us to do.
That will be in my next post.
She loved it and we did too!
White Curio Stand and Farmhouse Chest....
One of our regular repeat clients wanted us to paint
this curio cabinet and farmhouse chest all white with
no distress. She wanted all the texture to stay the
same if possible. It was painted in provence chalk paint at one time.
Then with a crackle look.
We sanded it down and teal was everywhere...
the texture came off in most areas.
I primed them all white. Then painted them all white.
We added some rustic hinges to the chest, it made the door
more sturdy.
Took all hardware off and stripped that and painted them all.
Took the glass and rubber out also to paint in every crack,
She wanted to see no more blue.
Couldn't get the blue off of some of the rubber though, we tried.
Looks beautiful and she loved them.

French Chest Converted to Dress Up Armoire........
One of our awesome repeat clients, texted me
a picture of a chest converted into a dress up armoire.
I told her I've done one like that before like
3 years ago and showed it to her. (You can view it in
one of my previous post from the year 2013.)
She said we where awesome and asked if we had
any chests in our inventory.
So I showed her 3 I had and she picked this one.
She wanted it Simply White by Ben Moore with
silver handles. Then a wood closet rod to match it.
This is it in one whole picture....

added a wood back since the other was
that thick cardboard...

John does such an awesome job....
can't even tell it was chipped off....
stone hard structure now will not chip off like the wood did....
I primed it then painted it all white....

John installed it with the right measurements
so the hangers can be removed without
a problem...

like I said we take EVERY piece
of hardware off.....
smooth top....
I paint everywhere you can see....
I tried to take a picture of the sun shining
on the dresser so you can
see the smooth flat finish we always do...
the only time we don't do a flat smooth finish
is when the client wants a shabby aged look
with layered colors.....
Fully completed.
She was very impressed as all my clients are.
The before, during, and after process.
