Aged Shabby Chic Pink Buffet.....
Our repeat client had put in a big order. She wanted
us to custom paint 4 pieces of furniture.
The ivory dresser from previous post was one.
This is the 2nd one. It was a buffet.
She wanted a shabby chic aged pink look, with some gold
over the details.
Here is the before....
I used Annie Sloan Chalk paint and custom mixed
colors to get similar color she wanted. It was very hard to get a close color
as the waxes darken the actual color of the chalk paint.
Plus, chalk paint is hard to match latex paint colors exactly.
It was a lot of layering to get this look...
Added gold detail and aged it all....
Added gold to hardware also...
I loved how it came out, worth all the hard work!
Consider H Willett Dresser with a updated new look....
This was before when we got it the 3rd drawer was messed up as you can see and the paint job was not the best nor was the color....
So after sanding it down to the wood and repairing the drawer, also repairing other small details. I looked at it and thought....what color does she need to be? She is big and beautiful so she needs a color that would make her stand out but not too much.
So I decided on one of my colors that I love GREEN! Then I added some handles and knobs to make her look even more gorgeous!
Then I added a very slightly aged look to it with some light brown wax. Not to much just enough.
She is very solid heavy wood and very roomy. I think she looks much better now.....
Green Teal Broyhill
Finished this Broyhill Dresser. Handles where all tarnished and terrible, so crackled them with black and white. Fixed the drawers they where broken slides and sanded top it was sticky with something. Then painted two coats with a green teal color and painted the top black to bring the handles out. Then dark waxed it to give it a shabby chic look. I think it came out looking pretty awesome!
Rustic Green Dresser
Finally finished this one, it took awhile. Had black thick latex paint on it the picture shows me started to sand it. Had to strip then sand. Painted it with a mixtures of different greens (3 coats) then gave it a aged rustic look. Stained the doors then waxed them. Painted the handle cream them distressed them. I love it!
