Antique Vanity Updated Into Nightstands...
This was a antique vanity before.
I was going to repair it and sell as one
when I bought it. Although, it was missing pieces.
Plus, I really started liking them as
nightstands.
Before below.
I removed the mirrors, some needed replacing anyways.
Removed the poles and the top backsplash.
Repaired all the loose veneer.
Which was a lot.
I painted them in a distressed black.
Used general finishes lamp black.
Sealed in high performance flat sealer.
Then added new black knobs.
SOLD!
Nightstands Turned Into Record Player Stand....
A client wanted us to custom paint these in a
matte black for her salon.
Here is the before below.
7 layers of 3 different primers and 4 different
latex paints.
Inside drawers where spray painted.
Even the back was painted.
So we stripped them and it took a month.
We worked on them why doing other orders.
The stripper took a whole day to get thru the layers.
Some of the veneer had warped and chipped off.
Whoever painted it before painted right over all that.
Didn't even repair it so we had to repair that
once we stripped it. John was not happy.
So, client then messaged and said
what about making it into a vanity
again because that's what
they once where.
So we did.
Here it is painted in general finishes
lamp black.
Then sealed in a flat sealer.
Added a shelf to make the vanity.
Added new knobs.
Painted the inside drawers.
Then we delivered it and she said ..
this may work perfect under my kitchen bar.
She had speakers there with here record player
and sound system on the floor.
She just moved in her new home and was looking for a
record player stand.
John and her got to talking about ideas to add 2 more shelves
to the vanity.
So we came back 2 days later installed them
and here it is all completed!
She loved it! She was so happy!
It looks so cool 💖
Desk, Dresser, and Vanity Custom Order.....
One of our repeats clients came to us with more of
their furniture they wanted us to custom paint.
Most of the time we have a waiting list that is months long.
My clients are very patient in waiting, which I so much appreciate.
These particular clients we have already done 6 pieces
for them in the past year. This order will make 9!
Love it! I have numerous clients with just about the same numbers of
pieces we've done. I'm so glad our clients appreciate our hard work.
Ok, here we go.
this was a before of the desk top, we get started on them and
I forget to take befores sometimes. Which I did with this one.
They wanted a refinished top and a soft teal on bottom.
No distress.
we stripped everything even the top,
forgot to take the picture of that part....
but I got the bottom,
primed the bottom and painted it teal....
it's going to match the teal we did on the dresser with silver handles
which you can see in a previous post....
stripped and stained the top...
Then hvlp sprayed a poly over that....
It looks really cute!
Next, was the dresser. Here's the before....
remembered to take a picture before, we had already
started the repairs and stripping....
stripped it down.....this one had a formica top....
primed everything and painted it the light cream...
no distress and kept the handles original...
Had some slight cracks in the wood on the drawers,
we had to seal those in....
Looks fantastic!
Last, is the vanity....
the before below...
stripped it all down and repaired where needed....
primed it all and she wanted a metallic champagne color..
Looks really beautiful, I love metallic colors!
Refinished Antique Vanity Painted Pink.....
This vanity was painted in some lacquer paint...
So here it is before, a reddish brown..
so we stripped it down...
added a wheel as one was missing....
stripped the drawers and the mirror
frame (not pictured)
I primed and then painted it the pink he
picked....
I also replaced the knobs for
some better ones...
he liked it :)
we also replaced the mirror as the other
was to heavy for the wood frame....
So pretty :)
Antique Desk/Vanity Painted Black With Glitter Drawers.....
This was furnished and custom painted for one of our customers.
She wanted it black with glitter drawers,
black handles, and pink above the drawers.
So we repaired the veneer, sanded it all down, and
I primed it all.
Then I painted the shell all black....
painted the handles black...
Painted the pink where she wanted it....
Painted the drawers with a silver glitter....
Here it is all done!
I love it so much!
Black Desk Vanity
Started out as this the middle drawer was broken husband fixed it and it was dovetail! He did a amazing job! He fixed the veneer that was torn off. We found some handles that matched the decor on it. Sanded it down completely....
Painted it Black and slightly distressed it.....
distressed at edges and corners.....
Painted the handles, knobs, and the decor a copper.
Shabby Chic with alittle Steampunk Vanity or Entry Table
I found this vanity, the mirror was a total loss, cracked and broken, so I replaced it with another mirror I had. Rebuilt the back with some extra wood pieces I had and one even had that pretty design on it already.
It even had the original handles still!
Distressed everything,....heavy waxed the white parts.....
Painted the doors and back pieces dark grey, painted the handles copper, even the mirror painted it copper to bring out the handles, then added some copper color to the wood decor.
Look at the hideaway in the right drawer. We added a cover for it, it is a piece of a fan blade, so cool!
I just love this piece, it was supposed to be a quick one for us, but goodness it ended up being ALOT of work. I guess that is why it looks so beautiful to me:) I see a mixture of age along with some updated beauty.....
