Old Finish French Dresser Updated...

I really am starting to dislike these vintage
antique white dressers.
They paint the beautiful tops!
I stripped the top.

Painted the body in a cream.

Stained the beautiful top in a dark stain.
Sealed the top in a high gloss sprayed  finish.

Didn’t do no distressing on this one.
Too many straight lines.

Cleaned and polished the hardware.

Available, message if interested.

Black Serpentine Dresser Aged...

FIRST BLOG POST OF 2020!!
It's amazing that this year 2020 will mark 10 years for
PIECE OF CANDY FURNITURE!!
Thank you to EVERYONE who has purchased and referred us!!
  THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

This dresser above I had for some time.
Not THAT long but, about a few months.
We have been repairing it on the side since we
got it.  It had missing veneer on bottom parts.
Drawers where hard to open on a few drawers.
But, loved that all original hardware was still there.
Here is the after below.

We had to remove the old wood covering underneath it was damaged.
Added new wood.

Also added a new wood backboard, the old one was
in really bad shape too.

I painted it in General Finishes lamp black.

Slightly distressed in edges.  Very minimal.
I didn't want too much just some.

Painted hardware a flat black.

Stained top in a dark stain.

Sealed everything in a flat sprayed sealer.

Has 12 drawers total.  Smallest on top and get larger
going to the bottom.

This has been sold ❤️
20"d/72"w/33.5"h

Before and After!  Looks amazing!
I didn't want a bright color because of
all the curves.  I wanted to tone it down some
on the look.   I knew black with slight distress would do it.
Had to stain that top dark to make the look!

Gray Media Cabinet Updated....

New client found me online and wanted us to update
her media cabinet.  She wanted a gray body with a stained top.
Then distressed edges.  Hardware in rubbed bronze.
Before below...

We stripped what we could as most of it was pressed board
with a very thin veneer covering.

Stained top in espresso and sealed in a water base sealer.

Amazing!

Mcm Ivory Dresser......

I couldn't resist when I saw this mcm dresser.  I had
a few days in between our custom orders.
I gave in and refinished it.
Here is the before below.
Missing handles and chipped in some areas.

Bubbled veneer.

Formica top.

Dents.

Chips.

We sanded all down.
Also took the formica top off because I wanted
a stained top.  So we bought a brand new wood top.

Filled in the old handle holes.

Filled in the dents and dings we could noticeably see.

Filled in chips.

Added metal bottoms as it had none.
Plus I wanted the metal to match the hardware.

Filled in chips.

Filled in the rings where the old hardware was.

Then I primed it all.

Made new holes for the mcm handles I was putting on.

Painted the handles silver.

Painted the body a Ivory from a custom mix
of Benjamin Moore colors I had.

Added some glass knobs to the 3 top drawers.

Stained the new wood top we added to look like
a reclaimed wood.

Added a back splash to the top also.  Made it removeable
also.  Stained that to match the top.

Currently for sale.  I'm totally in love with this piece!
