Antique Buffet in Linen...
Client contacted me and wanted
to know if I had any buffets in stock.
I had this one for like a year in my fixer upper stock.
Showed it to her and she loved it.
It needed some repair as the body was coming
apart from the whole structure.
Then the right leg was chewed up.
Leg chewed up below.
I showed her this picture I found on Instagram
painted by Katie Co. which was the exact buffet.
She loved that look but wasn't sure.
She researched awhile and kept coming
back to this design. Which is what she decided on.
Top was stripped along with top 3 drawers.
Picture below.
We repaired the structure to make it solid again.
Then repaired the chewed foot to match the rest.
Picture below.
Body was painted in general finishes
linen and distressed edges.
Top stained and top 3 drawers stained in
dark walnut.
Hardware painted in dark bronze.
Everything sealed in semi gloss sealer.
She wanted the inside left alone.
Looks amazing! I love love love how beautiful
it came out!
MCM Two Toned White Dresser...
Got this early mid century modern dresser
from a goodwill. I loved the look of it.
I knew exactly how I was going to paint it.
Here is the before below.
Repaired all the loose veneer as these older
mid century pieces have. They layered veneer
over each other so most all of them I have
encountered are all solid wood as is this one.
Early mid century pieces are from the mid to late 40s.
Some early 50s.
This is made by Harmony House.
I painted the shell and right drawers
in a semi gloss white.
Stained the left drawers in dark walnut.
Sealed the stained drawers in a semi gloss sealer.
Then painted the hardware gold.
Beautiful!

Got this mid century modern dresser online.
Made by Harmony House.
Refinished the drawers in a dark stain.
Added new knobs. Did the hardware, knobs,
wood pulls, and metal feet caps in gold.
Painted the body in a medium gray.
Sealed in a semi gloss finish.

Refinished desk top...
This one was from another of our repeat clients.
They had a desk that was damaged by a leather bible.
They wanted us to try and match the color as best as possible.
I think I got pretty close. I had to get a good angle
to show the true color.
This looks lighter because of the angle and flash.
Custom stained in numerous colors and coats.
Added a satin sealer.
We did excellent on this desk top I think!
That's where my perfectionist side comes in!!
Teal Aged Antique End Table...
One of our awesome repeat clients wanted us
to custom paint this family heirloom end table they had.
Here is the before below.
We refinished the top in a mixture of stain colors,
then added a semi gloss sealer.
Did the same to the small top of the middle part.
Painted the rest in annie sloan provence
and aged it.
Did a very light distress, I mean very light.
Beautiful!
Desks painted white.......
One of our previous clients loved our work so
much, she put in a 3rd order for us to custom paint!
These are her kids desks, She wanted them painted
white and one of them white with stained top.
Here is the before for one of the desk....
she wanted the handles off so she can add new ones.
sanded all down...
the slide out boards we had to remove to paint...
I primed it all then custom painted it a certain
color of white she picked out.
That's the awesome thing with latex,
you have a variety of colors to choose from.
You just have to prep it correctly before you lay the latex down.
Looks so clean and pretty!
Next, as this one below. She wanted this white and a
stained top.
here is the before...
sanded all down even the top....
primed it all except the top of course and then
painted it the same color of white from the desk above.
stained the top and added a polycrylic for protection...
So pretty!
Updated furniture for new client.....
A new client came to us and wanted to update her current
furniture. She did need some nightstands so we furnished her
with these below.
She wanted these distressed white with some silver detail
and she purchased some new hardware which we
added......
stripped it all, primed them, and painted them all white...
distressed and added silver detail to the drawers
and around the bottom edges....
This was her chest, she wanted a dark stained top,
with white distressed edges and the new hardware....
beautiful!

Looks completely different and beautiful!
Last, her dresser....she wanted the same as the chest...
stripped it down....these pieces had a thick finish...
primed and painted white....

This was her king size headboard set. She wanted it refinished
in the stain like the dresser and chest set.
So we stripped the headboard down...
here is the before...
here it is after we stripped, stained, and added the poly.....
Looks gorgeous!!!!
Refinished Table and Chairs.....
This was for one of my previous clients who
loved our work from what we did for them before.
She wanted her dining table and chairs set refinished, not painted.
So here is the before...the table has a slide in leaf.
It was darker and scratched.
The previous finish was a gel stain, so when
it was banged into which will happen over
time, it showed white wood and chipped.
With gel stain it lays over the wood, stain penetrates
into the wood which stains it. So we couldn't get it to the exact
dark color like this. The wood was very close together also much
harder to take stain.
I had to use 3 different colors of stain to get it even
somewhat close to the previous finish.
We stripped it all down.
Then I went to work to get it to look like this below....
Added a poly to the top. Multiple layer of it on top
for extra protection.
Added poly to all the chairs and base of table also.
She loved it! It actually matched exactly with her floor color.
That was awesome!
French Provincial Bedroom Set.......
This was a referral order. A client of ours that
contacted us last summer in 2014 wanted us to paint
her french provincial dresser teal and gold.
(You can search for that post in my blog)
She referred us to her friends who had a french set
that wanted theirs painted also. Plus, they wanted a
pedestal table bottom and chair repaired, that
will be in the next post.
Here is the set below....
They wanted a slight cream color with
newly refinished tops...
Then slight distress on edges with handles
kept original.
So we sanded all of them down....
I stained the tops with the color she picked
plus, added polycrylic to them....
I just really love our smooth finish....
I primed and then painted it the cream color....
Distressed all edges....
I love our smooth finish!!!
We work really hard and long to achieve that....
This is why I tell my clients I take at least
minimum 1 week on my orders
depending on how big the order is...
It takes some time to get this smooth flat look....
ALOT of hard work.....
I just love how much our clients appreciate
our work to refer us to their
friends....
that really means a lot :)

Custom Made Iron Wood Table.....
We put this wood iron bottom table.
Sanded it all down.
Then I custom painted it black
on the sides and iron bottom.
Then stained the top and distressed all edges
of the wood parts.
Added polycrylic in satin to the whole table.
Love this table!
Duncan Phyfe Stained with Cream Drawers.....
This was a furnished and custom painted order
for one of our repeat clients. We did these pieces for her
pictured here....
She picked this one below to go with the teal dresser
and french cream nightstands.
She wanted it to look like this style I did a few years ago...
except cream drawers and a darker stain to match the
others we did....
So we stripped it down, stained the outer shell
then black waxed it.
Primed and painted the drawers cream...
painted the handles glossy black....
This is it fully completed! I'm so in LOVE with this style!!!
Then again, I love all my pieces :)
Custom Painted Black Entry Table....
This was a custom order for my cousin. He loves what
I do to furniture. So he brought me his entry table and said do what I do.
He wanted it to match his living room.
So I suggested a dark stained top and a black base.
He said to "Go for it!"... so we did :)
Here is the before....
we sanded it all down....
painted the base all black....
stained the top with different stain colors...
then we black waxed everything....
It is so beautiful!
French Basque White Dresser......
I had this one for awhile up for sale. If none of ya'll know...
I put up my pieces I get in for sale first as is.
I do whatever custom orders I have at that point in time.
Then I'll pull one form my inventory to custom paint
to put up for sale :)
So, this one I wanted to do for awhile.
Here is the before....
we sanded and repaired...
sealed up the hole because those handles
where wide and ugly...
repaired all parts that where chipped off....
I did a technique that I really like on the drawers...
I love all the different colors of wood
and how the stain took it all in it's own colors.....
I really love this technique on the drawers!
kind of like the church pew we did a few years back...
I primed the body of the dresser then painted it a off white....
love our flat finish, not thick at all
and super smooth....
I distressed all the edges on the body of the dresser...
has dividers in the middle left and right drawers...
we built a cover for the hideaway top drawer...
or it can be removed and left like this...
I am really in love with this :)
Red and White Dining Table Set With Bench....
Well to start off, we had this table for
along time. It is a really awesome table. I love the
detailed legs and the pull out side leaves on each side.
This piece I actually did all on my own.
Absolutely no help from my partner/husband.
He is working on a huge custom order at the moment.
Anyways, I always see all his techniques in repairing and sanding .
So I used all of them on this one.
Here is was before,
I sanded it and stained it
with 3 different colors of stain.
Then added 3 coats of poly.
Stripped the bottom part of the table completely....
then primed and painted it white....
Sanded down the chairs and painted them red...
love how you can still see all the
dark wood!
Now the bench my husband/partner did put that together.
Some things I just don't want to do or even learn to do!
We had 2 Jenny Lind spindle twin bed whole
frame sets. One was complete and the other was not,
plus it was missing some spindles.
This is how it looked just minus some spindles, slats,
and rails.
Here is the awesome bench he made!
I love it so much!!!
Sanded it down and painted it red also.
It has the same technique with the
wood showing threw the red paint.
I just love this set!
Peachy Coral Highboy Chest....
I forgot to take a before picture, it was just peeling
veneer on top and some slides where out.
I just stripped it and peeled
the veneer off top then sanded
the top to a smooth finish.
Then primed the body and drawers.
Painted it a peachy coral numerous coats....
Stained the top then added poly...
added some knobs which I
painted gold...
Beautiful :)
Custom Painted Highchair....
I had a previous customer of ours
contact me and want me to paint
her highchair that was hers
as a child. She wanted her baby
to use it but needed it refinished.
She wanted it all white, but then I
asked her how about the tray
refinished in a stain,
then distress the white edges.
She loved that idea, so here
it was before....
we sanded it down....
took it apart...
taped up the straps...
took the tray apart...
completely apart and sanded it down...
then I stained it...
add poly....
primed and painted the highchair all white......
distressed the edges....
My goodness it is just TOO CUTE!!!
She LOVED it!!!!
Old Oriental Chest Refinished to look old and rustic....
I had one of my followers contact me for an appt to
view my inventory. She picked this old oriental chest i didn't
have listed. She wanted it to look old with some blackish darkened
wood. To match all her pieces in her living area.
So we sanded it to down...
left some original finish on it in some places...
The stained it with different colors of stains...
then black waxed it...
She loved it!
I do too :)

French Nightstands Custom Painted Butter Cream....
This was furnished and custom painted for our repeat customer. She wanted some
nightstands that where french. She seen I had some back in February of
this year and painted them for someone, loved them and wanted some.
So as I tell all who ask about if I have any pieces they are looking for,
I let them know that I will put them on a waiting list and
if I get any in I will contact that list 1st before I list them
out to the public :)
That's what she did.
So she wanted them stained on top to match a dresser she bought from me that
I painted last year. Painted a Butter Cream.
Then distressed only on edges and handles black.
This was before....a thick latex over factory paint...
we stripped....
then I primed and painted away....distressed...
she wanted a butter cream color....
stained the top 2 different colors.....
then added black wax....
to darken them...and protect them...
this is a thick wax that hardens FAST...
painted the handles black...
Finished! Oh my gosh, they look awesome!
LOVE them!!!!
Danity Navy Blue French Provincial Dresser with Custom Changing Topper.....
Well, to start off this was a tough one! I had a customer pick this
piece from my inventory and ask
me to paint it a certain color for her.
So I told her to pick one from benjamin moore
as that is the only paint I like to use.
So she chose blueberry hill which is
a danity not to dark navy blue color.
She also asked us to make her a changing topper,
as she seen one I had done before for another
customer.
Here is the before above....
we stripped it....
had white paint over factory paint...
built the changing topper to her size she wanted......
stripped the mirror....
then I stained it all....
she wanted it distressed on the edges only....
it was a white blonde wood, that's why I stained it
so when I did distressed it wouldn't look as white....
stained the changing topper also....
then painted it her color she wanted....
she wanted the handles to look old,
so we stripped them....
they turned out awesome!
distressed on edges....
I didn't prime this because of her color she chose,
if I did you would see the primer when I distressed....
since I stripped it though that paint is not
going anywhere!

Art Deco Sideboard Buffet Painted in Creamy Off White Color......
We refinished this art deco sideboard buffet that we had for awhile. Repaired the dents, sanded, and primed.
stained the top then added polycrylic....
added multiple coats of a color I customized...
creamy off white color looks real good with this style....
replaced the knobs with bigger ones and painted them copper....
left the original steel bar handle the color it was,
painted the ends copper...
still has the utensil tray very good condition....
I wanted a color to go with the style....
wanted the top to be stained to bring out the piece....
set it apart from the rest
Here it is finished!
