Mid Century Modern Restoration on Dresser....
This was the matching mid century dresser that
went with the previous highboy dresser and single nightstand we
also restored last week.
Although, both of those sold already.
Anyway, here is the before on this vintage mcm
made by United Furniture.
It had lots of wear on top.
John stripped it all down. We also stripped the wood handles too.
I stained it all in dark walnut.
Sealed in a semi gloss sheen.

Before/After!
Restored Broyhill Mcm Dresser....
I actually have the matching chest in the previous post.
Rare Broyhill Mid Century Modern Dresser
in the Accent line.
Before above and below.
We did a full restoration on this. Had more damage
than I felt comfortable with.
Chips on the back from the mirror (which has sold).
Chipped veneer on sides.
Chipped and split on top corner.
We stripped it all down after repairs.
Wood is a different on the middle drawers
and cabinet doors. So the stain came out darker.
I use full stain and don't mess with toners. Too much time
to work with that and I would have to charge higher on my price.
Not going to do that, not worth it to me.
Repaired cracks.
I stained in dark walnut.
This has 12 drawers total.
Sealed in water based sprayed semi gloss.
Painted hardware gold, remember it was silver.
Gold looks way better. Silver looked too office type.
I love the darker middle wood, it sets it apart from the rest.

Mid Century Modern Dresser in Multi Stained Look....
New customer seen a mid century dresser here on my
blog, but it had sold. I have some mid century dressers
I don't list because they need some restoring.
This was one of them. She picked this one.
Here is the before below. The top I didn't take a photo
of but had very worn finish and tons of water marks.
Here it is below stripped and repaired.
She picked this stain below.
Also this stain below.
She gave me a green light on doing whatever
I thought looked best. She just wanted a two tone look.
I did this look below!
Did the body and middle drawers in the darker stain.
The drawers in the lighter stain.
Then left the wooden pulls natural didn't
stain them at all.
Painted the bottom feet tips gold.
That grain is beautiful!
Sealed in a gloss sealer.
Looks amazing!! She loved it!
