Hale Navy French Dresser Set...
Previous client contacted me this past summer.
My waiting list is always long so
I just got to it last week.
She wanted a six drawer dresser, I showed her
this french I had in a six drawer.
It needed some work one of the
front drawers was off needed french hardware.
Which is why I had it in my fixer upper storage warehouse.
Before below.
Then I found a french nightstand in the same style.
She wanted that one too.
Also wanted a mirror so I showed her what I had
that would work with the size of the dresser.
Here is the dresser after we repaired and stripped it.
Nightstand also.
Then I primed them all.
Pictures below.
She wanted hale navy by Benjamin Moore.
In a semi gloss finish.
I found the some matching french hardware in
my hardware inventory.
Sealed in a semi gloss sealer.
Everything came out fantastic!
Refinished Ivory Painted Dresser & Mirror...
One of our previous clients wanted us to
custom paint this dresser plus some other items.
They will be in the next few posts. She had a total of 4 items
she wanted us to refinish for her.
This post is for a dresser she will be putting
in her baby's nursery.
Here is the before....
we stripped it all down, she wanted a refinished
top and mirror in a chocolate stain.
Then the bottom in a custom ivory that matched
the baby crib....
here it is primed...
then I painted it the ivory color.....
she wanted the hardware kept original...
next I stained the top...
she didn't want any distressing...
added a poly to seal the top...
stained the mirror and sealed that with a poly....
She loved it!!!!
Dresser Set Painted with Farrow & Ball.......
A new client contacted us for a dresser set she wanted custom
painted in a special paint with a specific color.
This could not be matched 100% to any other paint.
Which is why she wanted this particular brand.
With this paint, it's very tricky. You can only use their
primer, so I couldn't use my usual primer with
this particular paint.
Here is the before, forgot to take the picture of
the mirror.
Had a lot of ridges.....very rough. We sanded it all down though.
This is the paint.
Primed it and then painted it all. She wanted the color
Mahogany, which is a brown color with a slight red tint.
Next, added a polycrylic finish to it.
She wanted the handles in a brushed nickel.
So we stripped the hardware and custom
painted them.
Here is the mirror we did also.
She loved it! Very satisfied client.
Beautiful!
Headboard, Mirror, Navy Blue, Gray Mantel....
This was a custom order. A client contacted me
from my blog and wanted us to paint
these pieces for her.
mantel, headboard, and mirror.
She wanted the mantel to be a color
on her comforter she just bought.
So I suggested a lighter gray.
That way it would go with her decor in case
she ever changed it.
Here is the mantel before we stripped it down.
Then primed and painted.
She wanted us to seal in all the staple holes
that where previously there.
Then she had us do this beautiful Mediterranean mirror!
She wanted this to match a new comforter
also she had just bought.
So I suggested a navy blue.
She loved that idea on color :)
We primed and painted this the navy blue....
We always take out the mirrors....
you don't want to be sloppy with mirrors
because you have to look at them so much :)
Here is the headboard....
we primed and painted it the navy blue.....
Here they all are completed!
She really loved them :)
Danity Navy Blue French Provincial Dresser with Custom Changing Topper.....
Well, to start off this was a tough one! I had a customer pick this
piece from my inventory and ask
me to paint it a certain color for her.
So I told her to pick one from benjamin moore
as that is the only paint I like to use.
So she chose blueberry hill which is
a danity not to dark navy blue color.
She also asked us to make her a changing topper,
as she seen one I had done before for another
customer.
Here is the before above....
we stripped it....
had white paint over factory paint...
built the changing topper to her size she wanted......
stripped the mirror....
then I stained it all....
she wanted it distressed on the edges only....
it was a white blonde wood, that's why I stained it
so when I did distressed it wouldn't look as white....
stained the changing topper also....
then painted it her color she wanted....
she wanted the handles to look old,
so we stripped them....
they turned out awesome!
distressed on edges....
I didn't prime this because of her color she chose,
if I did you would see the primer when I distressed....
since I stripped it though that paint is not
going anywhere!
here it is without the changing topper...
here it is with the changing topper....
And here it is with all of it,
dresser, mirror, and changing topper!
I LOVE IT!!!!!
Custom Order For New Buyer Amy
These where the before pictures, we had the mirror replaced, repaired the drawer inside to make it more sturdy. Sanded it down......
sanded this one down....
She wanted it painted like one of my previous ones. She did want the handles painted teal, but they looked so good once we polished them up.
Then we decided on painting the headboard teal to bring out the teal on the dresser..........
And here they both are!
Looks super cute!!
Shabby Chic with alittle Steampunk Vanity or Entry Table
I found this vanity, the mirror was a total loss, cracked and broken, so I replaced it with another mirror I had. Rebuilt the back with some extra wood pieces I had and one even had that pretty design on it already.
It even had the original handles still!
Distressed everything,....heavy waxed the white parts.....
Painted the doors and back pieces dark grey, painted the handles copper, even the mirror painted it copper to bring out the handles, then added some copper color to the wood decor.
Look at the hideaway in the right drawer. We added a cover for it, it is a piece of a fan blade, so cool!
I just love this piece, it was supposed to be a quick one for us, but goodness it ended up being ALOT of work. I guess that is why it looks so beautiful to me:) I see a mixture of age along with some updated beauty.....
