Customer Order..Dorian Gray Italian Provincial Dresser
I started up customer orders on a case to case basis.
I had stopped for 10 months to get some of my
own pieces out for sale. Plus, started a new format on how I will be
taking customer orders now too.
This was her husbands childhood dresser that he had
since he was 5 year sold!
They wanted it in Dorian Gray with a dark stained top.
Before above. Had some veneer damage on one of the drawers and top
corner side.
We repaired all the missing chipped veneer.
Sanded it down.
Stripped the top.
Primed it.
Stained the top in Kona.
It came out beautiful with all that grain showing.
Painted in Dorian Gray.
She wanted to keep the original hardware.
I think it was an excellent choice too.
Top coated everything in a satin sealer.
Looks amazing! Her husband was so happy with the outcome too!
Italian Provincial In Distressed Black...
I didn’t like the top hardware on this really
beautiful italian provincial.
The handles I could work with.
I decided to paint it in general finishes
lamp black.
Distressed edges.
Stripped the top and left it original.
I sealed the top and whole dresser in
poly flat sealer.
I added new flat black knobs to the top.
Had to reposition them because
the older hardware was more higher.
The original handles I painted matte black.
Distressed edges very little not too much.
SOLD!
Light Gray Italian Provincial Dresser...
I scored this italian provincial dresser made by Century
off the internet! Before below.
Had some damage to veneer, plus the legs where loose.
The legs are not screwed in so we had to
really reinforce them. Now there tight and sturdy.
I sanded it down, primed it, and painted it in
Sherwin Williams Dorian Gray.
I had a customers who we used this color
for on for her order a few years ago.
I fell in love with it!
Thank you Brooke 😘
I changed out the top knobs hardware for some
of my favorite I had in my inventory.
The bottom handles I kept original but took off
the floral back ends.
I did a clean finish on this one.
No distressing. This finish is more
time consuming, because of the sanding down.
Then priming, then painting. Which you have to do when
painting with latex. Which I've become a pro
at since this is basically what the majority
of my customers asked for on their orders.
Which has been since 2012.
The finish I do holds up also. I've had customers from 2013
that their pieces still look amazing.
This one came out so beautiful though!
Love it...I mean I know I say that
a lot but just look at it?!
Ha Ha 😄

Gray Italian Provincial....
This dresser had a unique look to it.
Was indecisive on the color. I didn't want
a dark color or a super light color either.
Before below.
I kept coming back to a gray but not
too light nor too dark.
So, I custom made this color with a mix of
chalk paints I had.
Left the hardware alone. It was beautiful as is.
The well made vintage structure too.
The hardware is thick and heavy.
Distressed the edges but very lightly.
I didn't want to age too much or it would
take away from the piece.

Navy Italian Provincial Distressed.....
I can't wait for the new year! I have tons of furniture in
my 2 huge rv stoarge warehouses. I started to limit my custom orders.
I'm so blessed that we have been booked straight with custom orders
for the past 8 years. Like every single week was an order. We loved it!
But it got to be really stressful, I got into this business to
relieve and help ,with my anxiety issues. Painting helped and still does help me.
But I want to start painting my own pieces and put them out for sale.
I'm still going to be doing custom orders, just not to where I have no
room to breathe. Hope that makes sense.
So I'm booked with custom orders till February, but after that
I'm cutting loose! Then, hopefully if customers come to me and want me to
paint something for them, I can say it'll be ready in a week..instead
of 6 months! I've been working on cutting back on custom orders since March
of 2018. It took this long to get some breathing room.
Ok, so to this beautiful Italian provincial below.
Had some damage on the top so we couldn't stain it
like I initially wanted to. Repaired that.
Then I painted it in a custom color mix.
General finishes coastal blue and queeenstown gray.
I thought coastal blue was too dark.
Loving this navy color. Let's just hope I can
make it again.
Distressed edges. Painted the hardware in a custom
mix of bronze and a rusty color.
I think oil rubbed bronze is too dark sometimes.
Sealed in a flat sealer.
Priced at $510.

Country Gray Italian Dresser...
I got this italian provincial last week. A new client
contacted from a referral. Her daughter needed
a dresser for her apartment. I just so happened to have this
one below in my shop to start on and put up for sale.
She loved it and wanted it in a light gray but no too light.
She picked country gray. A medium true gray.
Then she wanted the hardware in gold.
Before below.
Here it is all painted and ready for it's new home.
She also wanted distressed edges.
Her and her daughter loved it!
Look at it isn't beautiful?
Graphite Greige Italian Provincial...
I got this beauty in and painted it in
restoration hardware graphite.
The color line is slate.
It's more of a greige color.
We repaired the drawer that had
no slide.
I fell in love with the hardware so
I kept it original.
Primed it all white after I sanded it all.
I decided on a clean look also no distress.
Sealed it in a semi gloss sealer.
My gosh this is beautiful! Very neutral
color too.
Currently available, message if interested.
Priced at $315.
Measures at 36"w/44"h/18"d
