Stripped Raw Wood French Provincial Dresser....
I’m really into this raw wood finish.
Had this old antique french dresser for
some time in my for sale as is inventory.
Before below.
First, I was going to paint it. Then I thought about it..
and decided I can paint tons of pieces.
Only certain pieces look good in the raw look.
So we stripped it all down, every nook and cranny.
Look at all those patterns.
Painted the beautiful french handles
in a matte black.
Sealed everything in a matte sprayed sealer.
Available, message if interested.

French Thomasville Dresser Painted White...
Before above of this Thomasville french

than normal.
I painted it in white with distressed edges.
Kept hardware original.
Available!
Message if interested.
Before /After.
White Drexel French Dresser...
I had this french drexel for some time now.
I painted another french drexel same design
different hardware in a light distressed gray.
That's up for sale now.
A new client contacted me and wanted
a french dresser in a light gray stained top.
It all worked out because I told her I was
in the middle of doing this one below in
a stained top off white body distressed look.
Before picture below.
I was already finished with stripping it to bare wood.
I had been working on this one off and on for about a month now.
She put down a deposit and I had it done in a few days.
Just because it was already ready for me to start on it.
Before she put down the deposit her husband
suggested a white distressed body instead of light gray.
She loved it and decided on that color.
Refinished top in a lighter shade as she requested.
We went with dark walnut.
Done in a smooth semi gloss finish.
Left hardware original.
She loved it and who wouldn't it looks so beautiful!
Raw Natural Look French Dresser....
This is the before below on a french dresser made by Davis Furniture Co.
I was initially going to paint it but because we strip
most of our pieces before we paint them.
But once it was stripped and sanded down I just couldn't paint
it. The wood was to beautiful. It wasn't a veneer overlay
either. This was solid carved wood. I did replace that hideous hardware though.
Stripped and sealed in the old handle holes.
I didn't stain it, just sealed it with a water based sealer.
Painted the hardware iron steel which is a matte
slightly dark gray with some metallic in it.
This piece was sold a few days ago.
. I finished it at the beginning of
last month, but didn't have time to post on my blog.
French Distressed White Bassett Dresser....
Client had purchased the french chest &
nightstands set in the white distressed finish I had
done and put up for sale a few weeks ago.
She wanted this french dresser we had in our inventory
in the same look. I fit it in my schedule and worked
on it during the weekend.
Here is the before below.
We stripped/sanded it all down and
I primed it even though I was chalk
painting it.
This is our full time job, we custom paint pieces,
deliver them, sell as is pieces, repair all our pieces to full
working order, strip them, prime them, take tons of close up pictures,
list them, post to my blog/Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest,
meet with clients online/in person, all in this ridiculous
Texas weather. Stripping takes along time. Each piece is
different. We do it ourselves as we trust no one else
to do it the way we do. We hardly ever rest, but we do love it.
It's a lot of work, we do a lot of work, which is why our clients
wait in line for us. I truly appreciate that. I'm
not too social on my online media pages, but
I feel why do I need to I take enough pictures to
show our work. They speak for me, straight forward is what
we're all about. Can we do what the client wants?
Yes, if we can't then I'll tell them we can't, but most of the
time we can and we do. I know chalk paint says no prep
but that's not us. We always prep.
After I primed it I chalk painted it all white.
Smooth chalk painted finish that we do.
We work really hard and go the extra mile for our finishes.
I mean just look at the pictures, it shows.
Our prices maybe somewhat higher than most,
but we've been doing this a long time. Our quality
of work is better than most out there I think. I have clients
who come back to me from 2012 and want us to
do more pieces for them. I see the pieces we did for them
all those years ago and they look like we just painted them.
Ok, back to the piece... I distressed the edges.
Then we added a new wood back.
Painted handles white and distressed them also.
Waxed to perfection.
Looks beautiful! So pretty & dainty 💓
Redesigned French Dresser....
Painted this french provincial country
dresser in white, distressed edges, and refinished
the top in dark walnut.
I pulled off the old hardware...didn't like it.
Then I added some vintage french handles I had
in my hardware inventory.
Got the cabinet pull new though.
Sealed the top in gf high performance no brush stroke finish.
Smooth no brush stroke finish on body.
Love this knob.
Painted hardware in oil rubbed bronze.
Looks much better with the french hardware.
Sealed in all the old hardware holes with our high quality putty.
We don't use Bondo or wood filler. All that shrinks
with age and eventually comes off or chips off.
Ours doesn't.
Looks beautiful 💓💖
Available. message for more info.
Navy French Provincial Dresser.....
Got my hands on this beautiful french dresser
and decided to paint it in navy.
Here is the before below.
I custom mixed the color with annie
sloan chalk paint.
I distressed the edges only.
Kept hardware original.
Waxed in a design to make it look aged without dark waxing it.
Because, I loved the color with just clear wax only.
I'm like so totally in love!
Available for sale.
Message for more info.
French Provincial Light Grey Dresser.....
One of our repeat clients wanted us to paint her french
provincial dresser in a light grey. It needed minor repair
like dents, chipped veneer, and a new wood back.
She wanted the hardware kept original just cleaned up some,
but to keep the patina look.
We stripped most of it down and sanded the rest down.
I primed and painted in a smooth clean finish.
The primer I matched to almost the same color
as the paint.
She wanted no distress.
Smooth clean finish.
She was really happy with the outcome, I love this look!
White/Gray French Provincial Dresser....
A new client found us online by seeing a dresser I had painted
in my own design up for sale. She lived in Taylor, Tx and was
fixing up a old house in the country. She wanted the painted dresser
I had done, plus this one above. She is using both
dressers we painted in her restrooms as vanities.
Here is the french dresser before. Cosmetic damage here and there.
We stripped it down and sanded it smooth, put it up for sale like
shown. Needless to say it was ready for me to paint. I primed it all.
She wanted a gray top and white body, she also wanted
my opinions on colors and hardware colors.
Basically, she was trying to coordinate it with her
tile she bought for the restroom. It had gray, light gray and white.
I suggested nightengale or kendall gray from Benjamin Moore
and out of the can white or simply white from Benjamin Moore.
Then, on the hardware I suggested iron steel color.
She chose kendall gray for top and simply white for bottom.
Then the iron steel hardware color. She also wanted
slight distress on edges.
She absolutely loved it! I did too, very beautiful.
Here's the other dresser she purchased from us.
This one below was painted in my own design.
French Provincial Dresser Updated....
One of our previous clients contacted us for a few dressers
we had in our inventory. For this particular french provincial
dresser she picked, she wanted a soft teal green.
Here is the before below....
We stripped it all down....
sealed in the handle holes and added one single
hole in the middle of the drawers...
she also wanted glass knobs instead of the original hardware.
Primed it all.....
This is it completed and all painted in the
teal color she picked from Benjamin Moore.
These are the glass knobs we both decided on....
All freshly painted and updated with a new look.
Smooth clean look with no distress or glazing.
Gorgeous!
French Provincial Bombay White Dresser........
This beautiful french provincial bombay dresser
is made by Thomasville. One of my previous clients
came back to us and picked this out of our inventory.
She loved our work so much before on a french dresser
we had provided and painted for her baby nursery last year.
Here is the before....
She wanted the color in white and a clean look no
distress or glazing. So we stripped it all down...
Then I primed and painted it all white....
She wanted the handles kept original....
Top is really smooth and flawless....
Wow! I just love our work and really appreciate
our clients who love it also.
French White Baby Blue Dresser..
One of our many wonderful repeat clients came to us
and picked another dresser we had
in our inventory. Then she wanted us to custom paint it.
Here is the french provincial dresser she picked
from our inventory. This is in it's factory finish pictured below.
We stripped it down to the bare wood, this was a
very hard finish to get off. Three thick layers, primer,
paint, glaze, and the sealer. We take everything off, even the inner parts along
where the drawers sit...I've heard of people
using only soap and water or tsp to
wipe off previous waxes. Then they paint over that with primer.
We don't do that, we strip it down completely for our latex finish,
no light sanding with a 220 sandpaper either.
It's hard work, but it's a durable finish. That's why my clients come
back to me. Plus, it's a awesome finish at that.
We do this with milk and sometimes chalk paint,
depending on the look we are asked to do.
Next, we primed it, then painted
it with our favorite latex paint.
Benjamin Moore.
She wanted it distressed lightly on the edges...
I painted the inner surface of the drawers baby blue and distressed that some.
Handles left original....
That paint isn't going no where. It was work just to distress
it, couldn't get to the wood the finish is so durable.
All my pieces I custom paint are like that though.
Just beautiful!
French Provincial Dixie Dresser.......
This french provincial Dixie dresser was
a furnished and custom painted order.
A previous client of ours from last year
referred us to her family. So her sister in law
contacted me via facebook and picked this dresser
from our inventory and wanted it all white
with handles kept in original condition.
Here is the before.
We sanded it down to the bare wood.....
I primed and painted it all white.....
kept handles in original condition.....
Looks so beautiful!!!
French Provincial Bedroom Set.......
This was a referral order. A client of ours that
contacted us last summer in 2014 wanted us to paint
her french provincial dresser teal and gold.
(You can search for that post in my blog)
She referred us to her friends who had a french set
that wanted theirs painted also. Plus, they wanted a
pedestal table bottom and chair repaired, that
will be in the next post.
Here is the set below....
They wanted a slight cream color with
newly refinished tops...
Then slight distress on edges with handles
kept original.
So we sanded all of them down....
I stained the tops with the color she picked
plus, added polycrylic to them....
I just really love our smooth finish....
I primed and then painted it the cream color....
Distressed all edges....
I love our smooth finish!!!
We work really hard and long to achieve that....
This is why I tell my clients I take at least
minimum 1 week on my orders
depending on how big the order is...
It takes some time to get this smooth flat look....
ALOT of hard work.....
I just love how much our clients appreciate
our work to refer us to their
friends....
that really means a lot :)
As always, they came out just beautiful!!!!
A big thanks to Crystal for her referral
and thanks to Jamie & Ashley for having us
custom paint their dresser set.
Shabby Chic White French Provincial Dresser......
We had a client pick this french provincial
dresser from our inventory.
She wanted it painted a white and distressed lightly
on edges.
The hardware she wanted left in it's original
condition.
Here was the before...
we sanded it all down and primed it all....
painted it all white....
she also wanted the inside of the
drawers painted white...
did the natural distressed look....
love my natural distressing, it's my
favorite kind of shabby look....
Here it is all finished!
Wow, I'm pretty awesome :)
I love it!
French Provincial Dresser Painted White....
A client found me online and picked out
this french provincial dresser. She was getting it for her daughter
who was expecting. They decided on all white with handles

Look at that top it is beautiful!
Then I primed it and painted it all white....

Coral French Provincial Dresser.....
This one needed some work done.

one of the drawer bottoms was busted out...
we fully repaired that....
repaired the 2 front feet they where worn down....

painted the handles gold....

Metallic Silver French Provincial Dresser....
This was a furnished and custom painted
french provincial dresser painted for
a client who wanted it in her nursery. This was back in October
that we painted it. Although, she didn't want me to post it on my
blog or facebook till she unveiled the room on her baby shower.
She wanted it a metallic silver everywhere even handles.
So this was before...
damaged veneer, old factory paint, missing middle knobs,....
here it is after we primed and painted it....
we sealed in mostly all scratches and major dents...
sanded to a smooth finish...
the handles where primed also....
I love my camera phone it takes awesome close up's
in the right lighting :)
The knobs I found went perfect with the dresser!
Our finish is so awesome!

French Provincial Dresser Painted Soft Gray....
This was a furnished custom order.....
she contacted me threw my blog and wanted
this one in a soft gray.
The handles she wanted to keep them original.
This is before....
we repaired some scratches and dents...
then we stripped it down...
took off the plastic feet....
then sanded all the drawers down...
then I primed it all...
then I painted it the soft gray....
I just love the hardware on this one....
put on the feet....
the curves are so beautiful!
Finished! It looks so clean!
She loved it!
Danity Navy Blue French Provincial Dresser with Custom Changing Topper.....
Well, to start off this was a tough one! I had a customer pick this
piece from my inventory and ask
me to paint it a certain color for her.
So I told her to pick one from benjamin moore
as that is the only paint I like to use.
So she chose blueberry hill which is
a danity not to dark navy blue color.
She also asked us to make her a changing topper,
as she seen one I had done before for another
customer.
Here is the before above....
we stripped it....
had white paint over factory paint...
built the changing topper to her size she wanted......
stripped the mirror....
then I stained it all....
she wanted it distressed on the edges only....
it was a white blonde wood, that's why I stained it
so when I did distressed it wouldn't look as white....
stained the changing topper also....
then painted it her color she wanted....
she wanted the handles to look old,
so we stripped them....
they turned out awesome!
distressed on edges....
I didn't prime this because of her color she chose,
if I did you would see the primer when I distressed....
since I stripped it though that paint is not
going anywhere!
here it is without the changing topper...
here it is with the changing topper....
And here it is with all of it,
dresser, mirror, and changing topper!
I LOVE IT!!!!!
