Restoration Hardware Part 2....
This was for a repeat client who we had
furnished and painted a dresser for last year.
You can search my post for that one.
Just type restoration hardware in the search box.
Anyways, she had asked whenever I come across
a nightstand in the same style
to let her know. So, I got one in a year later.
Contacted her and she said she wanted it.
She asked for us to paint it exactly like the
dresser we had done for her.
Here is the before...
damaged on side...
Here is the dresser we did for her last year...
So I went to work and here it is after I
finished...
This was the damaged side, can't even tell!
How awesome is John?
Pretty awesome I think ;)
His repairs are Fantastic!
My paint job isn't to shabby either!
Here it fully completed :)
All she needs is the knobs....
Serpentine Dresser Custom Painted Blue and Gold.....
I love this one! Ok, well this was a furnished custom order.
She picked this from our inventory and wanted
it in a darker gray blue with gold detail.
Then gold handles.
So this was how it looked before we touched it....
we took all the hardware off like we always do....
we don't do shortcuts that leads to messy work...
then we repaired all the scratches and dents...
sanded it down for a smooth finish...
this is our repair work process
we putty it, then sanded to a smooth
finish...
had to strip it all down on this one...
the dresser shell stripped...
smooth too!
then I primed the dresser and handles...
painted the gold, then the blue..
the repair work we did...look at that!
you can't even tell it was repaired!
she wanted a gloss to the whole dresser,
so we did that...
my gold trim is soooo awesome...
requires a whole lot of prep work
and
PATIENCE!
painted the handles and gold trim the same color of gold...
Wow!
Like I said we really out did ourselves on this one!
It looks beautiful!
She was very impressed!
