French Linen Half Dressers Set.....
Second half of the order for one of our clients. The other part was the
italian provincial set in previous post.
This is she will be using as nightstands.
The one below she picked from our inventory.
The second on was hers.
Before pictures below.
They both needed major veneer repair as
they're old like really old.
Inside where the drawers sat needed to be
rebuilt on some so the drawers could go in
and out easier.
We repaired everything cosmetic and structural.
Stripped down everything.
She sent me this pictured she found online and wanted me to
do them both in this look.
I used annie sloan french linen and went to work on the
details.
Antiqued and gold detailed in some areas.
Painted the hardware also.
Distressed areas.
My no brush stroke finish of course.
Love showing my close ups with the light shining on it.
We're both in love with them!

For this buffet I had to search for.
Found it but needed lots of repair. Veneer bubbles galore.
She was a fighter all the way thru.
Client wanted a white matte finish.
Here it is after all the repairs, stripping, and priming.
She picked the beautiful simply white by Benjamin Moore.
Sealed in a flat water based sealer.
She loved it which makes us very happy to hear 😍
Butter Cream Dresser....
This particular one I painted in my own color & design.
I forgot to take a before but you can visualize it.
We sanded it down not to complete bare wood except for
the top. Then I primed and painted it.
We did have to repair some wood slides.
Painted in restoration hardware paint color
butter cream.
Distressed edges and painted hardware
in oil rubbed bronze.
Our beautiful smooth flat no brush stroke thin
finish.
This was sold the next day after I listed it.
She loved our work so much she had me do a mirror to match.
Last week she brought me a nightstand she wants me to
paint to match the dresser. Hopefully I can get to that soon.
We're extremely busy with lots of clients painted orders.
That's why I got backed up on my posts. Listed I
think 5 today.
French Gray Dresser...New Look From Before...
We found and purchased this dresser in really bad condition.
Here is the before below. Hardware was missing.
A new follower contacted me and wanted to know
what I would be putting out next.
I showed her this one. Let's just say it was sold before I could list.
We stripped it down.
Repaired a lot of loose veneer.
Sealed in the old hardware holes. I had this same style dresser before
in my inventory years ago and we had custom painted it for a client.
So I knew what hardware to search for had no luck.
Sealed in most of the splits in the wood and reinforced them.
Refinished the top in General Finishes wood stain Espresso
Sealed it with high performance top coat.
Painted the body in Chelsea Gray by Benjamin Moore.
Distressed edges,
Added the new hardware.
Hobby lobby is my go to for hardware when
I can't find the original anywhere else.
Smooth no brush stroke flat thin finish.
She loved it!
Mcm Dark Grey Dresser...
We had this fantastic looking mcm dresser
for sometime in our inventory.
A new client came to us and wanted to know
what I would be painting next in my own design
to put out for sale.
I told her this one as it had minimal repair to be done
and I was going to do a dark grey with black gloss knobs.
No distress and a clean look.
She said she wanted it for her new child's
room and that design and color would be perfect.
Here is the before below.
We tightened all the dovetail drawers as they were loose.
Stripped it all.
Filled in all the cosmetic damage. She wanted it all smooth.
I primed it all and painted it a dark grey.
She loved it and so do I : )
CoCo Antique Chest Of Drawers
We found this beautiful antique chest of drawers
a few weeks ago. I decided to paint it in my own
color design. Here is the befores below.
Veneer damage on the top.
We repaired that part. Then repaired everything else that needed it.
I decided on Annie sloan coco.
here is the top part, we just removed all the veneer
and sanded it down to a smooth finish.
I distressed only the edges and then aged
some parts.
No hand painted all sprayed with our hvlp gun.
Added all new knobs and I love them!
I also added some wood wheels to the bottom.
Didn't paint those left the original wood finish.
Look at all those drawers! Six total.
Love this and it's currently available for purchase. Message for info.
Charcoal Gray Aged Dresser.....
I had this piece in my current as is unpainted
inventory for sale. I pulled it and decided to custom
paint it in my own color and design.
Here is the before below.
We filled in the top four knobs and added some extra
holes on the bottom drawers. Stripped it all down and filled
in some veneer that had bubbled up.
I wanted to stain the drawers because of the beautiful
wood on drawers, but once stained it covered it all up.
So, I painted it using general finishes milk paint
in queenstown gray.
Added some duncan phyfe handles.
Then aged it with some van dyke brown glaze.
Sealed the final coat in a satin finish.
Love the small removeable tray too!
I think it came out really nice :)
Navy Blue Dresser...
My past client who is an interior designer, came to us
with this dresser. She was designing a nursery for a client of hers.
She wanted the dresser stripped completely and us to
paint it a navy blue she had picked out that was
a certain color she needed.
Then leave the top unpainted so she could stain it herself.
Here is the before it was a teal color....
we stripped it all down....
smoothed it all out....
I primed it and painted it the navy blue color she wanted....
Looks good, will wait and post pictures later
of the finished room once she completes it.
Shabby Chic Pink Chest Of Drawers..
We found this antique chest of drawers awhile back in bad shape....
So we repaired it off and on while waiting on
pieces we were working on to dry...
Stripped it down...
.
primed it all...
This is the color I chose, a light soft pink,
called Powder Pink by Benjamin Moore.
A very subtle pink color.
Then painted it all in our professional flat finish.
I left all the cracks and dents on this one, I usually
seal that all up as shown in my
previous posts.
I couldn't take that away with this one as it's
old and wanted to stay with that look.
I distressed the edges...
smooth finish...
Added these beautiful ceramic teal flower knobs
with gold tips....
replaced all the inner bottom drawers...
we also replaced the back boards...
So beautiful!
French White Baby Blue Dresser..
One of our many wonderful repeat clients came to us
and picked another dresser we had
in our inventory. Then she wanted us to custom paint it.
Here is the french provincial dresser she picked
from our inventory. This is in it's factory finish pictured below.
We stripped it down to the bare wood, this was a
very hard finish to get off. Three thick layers, primer,
paint, glaze, and the sealer. We take everything off, even the inner parts along
where the drawers sit...I've heard of people
using only soap and water or tsp to
wipe off previous waxes. Then they paint over that with primer.
We don't do that, we strip it down completely for our latex finish,
no light sanding with a 220 sandpaper either.
It's hard work, but it's a durable finish. That's why my clients come
back to me. Plus, it's a awesome finish at that.
We do this with milk and sometimes chalk paint,
depending on the look we are asked to do.
Next, we primed it, then painted
it with our favorite latex paint.
Benjamin Moore.
She wanted it distressed lightly on the edges...
I painted the inner surface of the drawers baby blue and distressed that some.
Handles left original....
That paint isn't going no where. It was work just to distress
it, couldn't get to the wood the finish is so durable.
All my pieces I custom paint are like that though.
Just beautiful!
