Aubusson Blue Buffet Cabinet...
I love this buffet cabinet! It's so beautiful!!
Here is the before below. It has knocker pulls but most where
broken off.
So we improvised. I wanted to keep the
back plate and original knobs on the
top drawers.
I painted it in Annie Sloan Aubusson Blue.
Distressed and antiqued.
I wanted the cabinet door hardware to look
like a doorknob.
For the back plate we cut off the pull
for the knocker and made a new hole.
I got those beautiful big knobs at hobby lobby.
Painted the hardware in dark bronze.
Smooth finish.
Priced at $425
32"h/18"d/62"w
Cash only, message if interested.
Delivery available for an additional fee of $20.
French Linen Desk/Dresser....
Referral client had this really beautiful desk/dresser
piece. She picked french linen from annie sloan.
Here is the before below.
Took it all apart to get a good clean finish.
I antiqued and distressed it.
I also added some new knobs to update it.
Painted the side drawers also.
Painted everything on the inside.
She really liked how it came out and it
went really well in her home.
Antiqued Old White Dining Set, Buffet, Hutch...
Client who we did the previous post for which
was the navy french dresser/nightstand set,
wanted us to do her antique
dining set also.
Before photos below.
Glass hutch.
Small side buffet.
Top of buffet was damaged.
All 6 chairs.
Stripped the top side buffet.
Stripped the 3 leaves for the table.
Stripped table top.
She wanted the leaves and table refinished because it
had water rings/stains.
She wanted my opinions on some designs for the look.
She knew she wanted the annie sloan
old white antiqued look I've done before.
She fell in love with the antique set we
had previously done for her friend (our previous client).
Which was the old white antiqued look.
But, she was on a budget from Harvey.
She intentionally wanted everything refinished
and stained. Although, we don't do that anymore
and it would be very expensive.
I suggested painting only the outside of the glass hutch
and cleaning up/sealing the inside.
Then, I suggested we paint the whole
side buffet to bring in more
of the old white look.
We refinished the table top/leaves though as they where
rough looking.
Sealed them all with 5 coats of sealer.
All three leaves refinished and looking beautiful.
Chairs we cleaned up and sealed them all.
Keeping more of the wood
in the mix instead of painting the chairs
would really bring everything together.
Especially for the design of the pieces.
She provided her new fabric and we upholstered
them all.
She was very pleased with the outcome!
I was too.
Buffet & China Cabinet in Dark Navy.....
New client contacted me thru my blog and wanted me
to custom paint her antique buffet & china cabinet (hutch).
She viewed my blog for a bit and picked the custom navy
blue with antiquing I've done with Annie Sloan.
I custom mixed the color (sometimes I don't quite remember the
exact measurements so I have play with it).
Before picture of the buffet below.
After I custom painted it and antiqued it (no distressing)
pictures below.
Smooth thin finish.
I kept the hardware original. She left that up to me.
She just wanted me to do what I do basically.
Said she loved my work and trusted my artistry.
She wanted the inside painted.
I just love this look!
Next, was the hutch.
Before pictures below.
Same color and finish as the buffet above.
She wanted everything painted, so we took
apart everything.
Painted the inside top and bottom parts.
My smooth thin finish.
It takes a whole lot of time, paint, and work
to get these looks I do. I mean lots of work.
The detailing, numerous coats of paint I do
but in the end, I always always always love the outcome.
Plus, the bonus is the clients reaction when they see it 💝
Antique Dining Set Table Chairs China Cabinet Buffet Old White Antiqued.....
This set was for repeat clients who loved our work on some dressers
we custom painted in my own design that they purchased
from us. They asked if we could paint this beautiful
antique set that was one of the clients grandmothers. It was passed
down to him and he was waiting for the right person to
paint it. I was very honored and pleased he chose me to do the
custom paint job :) He loved my previous work so much that we
had done for them and my previous work they seen on my blog and facebook,
We picked it all up and delivered it all. It took me about three weeks to complete.
Although, we had the pieces for 2 weeks before till I could get to them.
We've been extremely busy this year and we feel very blessed.
The look they wanted was an old white antiqued look with
slight distress, refinished table top, buffet top, and back board of the
china cabinet. Then the inside buffet and china cabinet bottom darken
with the same color of stain for what we did on the tops of those pieces.
Here is the before on the buffet,
Stripped the top.
Then I stained and sealed the top of the buffet
and did my paint job on the bottom body of the buffet.
Next was the china cabinet, before below.
Refinished the back with some new stain and
sealed it. Then did the paint job on the rest.
Hardware kept original.
This table was huge with leaves that slide under.
Here is the before below.
Stripped the table top and leaves.
This is the bottom of the table.
All 6 chairs before.
Painted the bottom table legs.
Refinished the table tops and sealed them all.
Then painted all the chairs.
They loved it so much, I was very pleased with the outcome also!
It was a tremendous amount of work but well worth it!
Like I said before we feel so honored when clients choose
us to custom paint their family heirlooms :))
Duck Egg Blue Duncan Phyfe Furniture.....
New client found us online looking for a duncan
phyfe dresser to match her nightstand she had.
She wanted this set for her daughter's room.
She picked this duncan dresser we had in our inventory
pictured below. After looking thru my blog at my photos
of all my past work she picked
the duck egg blue chalk painted antiqued look that I do.
She wanted all the scratches, dents, basically a smooth look
but, antiqued like in our previous work we've done.
So we stripped the dresser down.
I forgot to take a before pick of her duncan nightstand.
Here it is below after we stripped it and sealed in all the scratches,
dents, and missing veneer.
Here they are below after I did my painted work on them.
She wanted a slight distress only on edges
and a oil rubbed bronze on the hardware.
She loved them!
Duncan Phyfe Buffet...
We had this beautiful duncan phyfe buffet for some time
in our inventory. I wanted to put a painted piece of my own
design out for sale and chose this buffet.
Here is the before below. We repaired cosmetic damage.
Stripped the top down.
Then, I refinished the top.
I used a custom mix of stains for the refinished top.
Sealed it in a satin poly.
I decided to keep this beautiful hardware.
I also painted and antiqued the
hardware also.
Painted the body in a light gray chalk paint
I custom mixed.
Antiqued it in some areas but no distressing.
I really love how it came out!
